Scally's in Moon Ranks Among Top Driving Ranges in Country
The family-owned course receives an honor from the Golf Range Association of America.
The Hookstown Grade Road-based Scally's Golf Center has been named as one of the top-50 standalone driving ranges in the country.
The Golf Range Association of America awarded the nearly 60-year-old course in January for the ranking.
Founded in 1954 by Chuck and Phil Scally, the family-owned business features an 18-hole miniature golf course and batting cages, 85-tee driving range and two practice putting greens.
Three Professional Golfers Association professionals are available at the driving range for individual instruction.
In a statement from Scally's:
“My family is honored and amazed that the facility that my father and uncle started with just a few tees in 1954, has grown to a multi-faceted entertainment complex that has been able to promote the game of golf to patrons of all ages for almost 60 years in the Pittsburgh area and beyond.”
