Porsche Reported Stolen from Elkwood Drive Home

Thousands of dollars worth of items were reported stolen from a home on the 400 block of Elkwood Drive.

A Moon resident said he returned from a trip to Arizona to find his Elkwood Drive home ransacked and his 2006 Porsche Cayenne missing.

Moon Police said when the resident returned home in the early morning hours of June 9 after a two-week stay in Arizona, he found his home's front-door deadbolt lock broken and his house in disarray.

A flat-screen TV was removed from a mount on the wall, living room furniture had been slashed and overturned, and household fixtures had been broken, according to a police report.

The man's kitchen cabinets and drawers were emptied and his refrigerator door was left ajar, leaving food inside to rot. A safe containing both $4,500 in cash and a Glock handgun were removed from a bedroom closet and a lock leading to the home's attic was broken.

The man told police that his gray 2006 Porsche Cayenne, which was missing both keys and a battery, was taken from his garage. A washer and dryer were also stolen from the garage, the man said.

No value for the items stolen or damage done to the home was available. Police continue to investigate the incident.
