Moon Voters Turn out in Low Numbers for Pennsylvania Primary

Poll workers report low voter turnout across the township.

Poll workers said turnout this morning at Moon Township polls has been sparse, with some districts reporting fewer than 30 voters in the morning hours of the Pennsylvania primary. 

"It's not like a general election," said Frank Magnotta, judge of elections at McCormick Elementary "It's been very slow all morning." 

Just 72 voters had cast their ballots at McCormick by 11 a.m. A poll worker at the school said the Republican presidential primary drew more GOP voters than Democrats.

Poll workers at said at 10 a.m. just 27 voters had turned out all morning. One voting district reporting to Allard Elementary at 10:30 saw 25 voters, while the other Allard district had a count of 71.
