Susan L. Alker-Kaufer

Susan L. Alker-Kaufer, 60, of Moon, died March 10 at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center with her husband at her side.

She was born June 1, 1951, and was married for 21 years to Dale W. Kaufer. She was the mother of Ansun Romanowski of California and stepmother of Sandra Work of Moon Township. She was the grandmother of Riley Romanowski.

Alker-Kaufer was a retired flight attendant for 36 years with U.S. Airways and worked for several years with the flight attendants union. She was known amongst family and friends for her handwritten notes for birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

Visitation was at Copeland Funeral Home in Moon Township. Burial was conducted privately. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Animal Friends.

Mary Weir Geraldine Gaughan 

Mary Weir Geraldine Gaughan, 84, of Florida, died March 10. Born June 16, 1927, she was the wife of the late John W. Gaughan and mother of John Gaughan, Robert Gaughan, Patricia Snook, Carolyn Pharo, Kathleen Wolfson, Joseph Gaughan and Brian Gaughan.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. March 16 at Copeland Funeral Home in Moon Township. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Margaret Mary Church followed with burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Peters.
