Thomas W. Bloomer
Thomas W. Bloomer, 68, of Moon Township, died May 4. He was born Aug. 21, 1944 in Sewickley.
He was the husband of 42 years to Sarah Black Bloomer and the father of Matthew Bloomer, Jennifer Parish and Joseph Bloomer. He is also survived by his brother Kevin Bloomer and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Bloomer was a graduate of Duquesne University and was a teacher in the West Allegheny School District for more than 30 years, where he was also an assistant principal and middle school football coach.
Services were conducted earlier this month with arrangements by Copeland Funeral Home. Entombment is at Resurrection Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mooncrest Community Center.
Barbara Friend Beam
Barbara Friend Beam, 66, of Moon Township and formerly of Ambridge, died May 2.
She was born in Pittsburgh in 1946, and was married for 48 years to Clarence “Doc” Beam.
She was the loving mother of Lauri Kennedy, James C. Beam and Sandy Null and the grandmother of Joseph, Christopher and Joshua.
Beam obtained her certified medical assistant training from Allegheny General Hospital. Her hobbies included painting and jewelry making and she was an animal lover.
No visitation will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Animal Friends.
Dorothy Dottie Toucher
Dorothy Dottie Toucher, 78, of Moon Township, died May 6. She was the wife of the late Ralph Toucher and the mother of Rita Toucher and Cynthia Toucher. She is also survived by her sister Margaret Porter and brother Anthony Porter.
Visitation was held yesterday and arrangements are conducted by Huntsman Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church in Coraopolis. Interment will follow at Coraopolis Cemetery.
