Ewing Road On-Ramp to Open for Moon Festival
The ramp will open temporarily to alleviate traffic congestion.
The Interstate 376 East Ewing Road on-ramp will re-open Monday to accommodate the Moon Township July 4 Celebration.
The Allegheny County Airport Authority earlier this month closed the ramp to install a traffic roundabout at the I-376 and Ewing Road intersection. Construction on the $950,000 project is expected to be completed by October.
Moon spokeswoman Meghan McNamara said township officials worked with the airport authority to temporarily open the ramp in an effort to alleviate traffic congestion from the July 4 celebration Monday at Moon Park.
The ramp will close again for motorists Tuesday morning.
Ewing Road will also be closed to motorists from Beaver Grade to Coraopolis Heights Road from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday.
