Which of your closest friends has made a campaign contribution to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney?
Wondering how many people you know who've dipped into their pockets to keep President Barack Obama in the White House for another four years?
Hankering to know which candidate has outpaced the other in raising funds from around Robinson and Moon townships before the Nov. 6 election? Patch has created an interactive database to place that information at your fingertips
Now you can see how much money your neighbors from Robinson, Moon and neighboring communities in the Moon Area and Montour school districts are donating to the presidential campaigns—and to which candidate they’re writing their checks.
A quick glimpse at the data:
- This election cycle, $41,509 was donated to presidential candidates from residents of the 15108 zip code. Most of the donations went to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, according to the nonprofit the Center for Responsive Politics.
- In the 15136 zip code, $6,500 was contributed this presidential election cycle, most of which was donated to President Barack Obama's re-election campaign, according to the center.
- In the 15205 zip code, $20,425 was contributed to presidential candidates, most of which was given to the Romney campaign.
- In the 15046 zip code, $1,750 was donated in the presidential cycle. Most of the contributions went to the Obama campaign.
We’ve also included communities across Western Pennsylvania, so if you want to see what the campaign contributions look like across the river in Sewickley and Leetsdale, or in Peters Township or Cranberry, go right ahead.
The information in the database was downloaded from the Federal Election Commission’s website. The data is based on quarterly reports and is current through early October.
Don't forget that you can follow the campaigns and election coverage on Patch.
