Dunkin' Donuts to Open in April

The confectionery chain confirms that a new Beaver Grade Road store will open this spring.

A new fast food restaurant will open its doors in Moon Township just in time for the spring weather.

A spokesperson for Dunkin' Donuts confirmed that it is planning to open its new Beaver Grade Road store in mid-April. The store will be located in the former Hometown Pizza building at the corner of Carnot and Beaver Grade roads.

Hometown Pizza moved to 101 Fern Hollow Road in September. The building, which includes a drive-through and dining room, formerly housed a Taco Bell.

The building will be revamped before the store's opening, though details on the renovation were unavailable.

I would like to see a family fun center of some kind. Maybe a bowling alley, arcade and restaurant, some place fun that families could go, have birthday parties and get togethers. Why not keep our money in Moon instead of going to other townships and counties?

At one point Moon had all of those things. They didnt do enough business to stay open. Baileys Billards, runway lanes, Jungle Jims. All have come and gone.

That's unfortunate. I only been here in Moon for 10 years, I didn't know that used to have these types of family places. Has the population grown since then? When were those businesses here? Just wondering..

They were here in the late 90's and before. Bailys and the bowling alley along with Rolling wheels(skating) were in the plaza where Wal-mart will be. Jungle Jims was taken over by Giant Eagle.
