Burglary Reported on Boggs Avenue
Moon Township Police blotter for May 7.
A Coraopolis man has been charged with identity theft in connection to a home burglary reported earlier this month on Boggs Avenue.
Randy Rudski, 48, of Coraopolis, was charged May 3 by Moon Police with theft by unlawful taking, forgery, access device fraud and identity theft.
Police said Rudski cashed a check that was reported stolen from a home on Boggs Avenue, forging the signature of the homeowner to obtain the money.
Rudski, who according to court records has a lenghty history of arrests in Allegheny County, was charged by Moon Police in 2011 with multiple counts of writing bad checks. He awaits trial on the charges.
Kennedy Township Police also charged him last year with receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking.
Rudski has not been charged with the May 1 home burglary. Homeowners reported a laptop computer, checkbook and Internal Revenue Service check valued at $481 missing from the home on the 100 block of the street.
Rudski is scheduled to appear May 8 for a preliminary hearing in Coraopolis District Court.
