When Officer Ian Lucas arrived, he said he saw Morrow "bleeding profusely from the head. I could see the blood running down his neck, head and face," according to a police report.

Lucas said Morrow was holding paper towels to the back of his head with "blood coming through the paper towels," bleeding uncontrollably.

Morrow struck the back of his head while trying to gain control of D'Ascenzo, suffering a four-inch gash that required "stitches or staples to close," Lucas said.

D'Ascenzo has "a history of making threats to physically assault officers" and Lucas said in the report that he had dealt with the former resident during previous domestic incidents.

D'Ascenzo waived his Miranda rights and threatened to assault officers while they placed him under arrest, according to reports. Officers drew their Taser guns and held D'Ascenzo to the ground to arrest him.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail following the arrest. Information on bail and a scheduled preliminary hearing was not immediately available.
